In response to the United Nations World Bicycle Day on June 3, the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held the "2025 World Bicycle Day Taiwan Response Event" today (6/3), encouraging the public to use bicycles as a low-carbon tourism tool and practice sustainable tourism together; the Northeast Coast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration also actively responded, and this morning also called on more than 130 people to participate enthusiastically. This event plans two cycling routes, namely "Su'ao New Station to Zhuangwei Sand Dunes Ecological Park" and "Zhuangwei Sand Dunes Ecological Park to Guishan Station". The Northeast Coast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration has been selected as one of the top 100 green tourist destinations in the world for 9 consecutive years. The cycling route passes through the Zhuangwei Sand Dune Ecological Park and Guishan Island, which have won the "Global Green Destinations 100 Stories Award", as well as the Waiao Service Area, which has won the Green Travel Label.
