Cycling-triggered Tourism Friendship Agreement Between Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan and Northeast Coast, Taiwan
The Tsukuba Kasumigaura Ring Ring Road is a cycling route measuring approximately 180 kilometers long and connecting the abandoned Tsukuba Railway and the lakeside road surrounding Lake Kasumigaura. Along the Ring Ring Road, cyclists can enjoy the diverse attractions of the Kasumigaura lakeside area (designated as the Suigo-Tsukuba Quasi-National Park), the rich natural scenery of the Mount Tsukuba region, and historical and cultural heritage such as Kashima Shrine. A leisurely springtime ride through the cherry blossom-filled path or a visit to the Hitachi Seaside Park (to witness the breathtaking baby blue eyes merging with the sky) is an experience that you will not want to miss.
