The coastline stretches for 21 kilometers north of Wushih Harbor in Toucheng. The hinterland is narrow and the mountains and sea are connected. The settlements develop linearly along the steep mountain foot. In response to the terrain, fishing ports are developed on the rocky coast for intertidal collection, while fishing nets are developed on the sandy coast. The small fishing villages make a living by fishing nearby. Each small fishing village is relatively independent and leads a daily life in the mountains and the sea.
