The Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Agency of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (hereinafter referred to as the Northeast Coast Administration) has a rich ecological, cultural, and geological landscape in its jurisdiction. Since 2011, it has commissioned the Taiwan Ecotourism Association to guide local groups such as communities to promote ecotourism, and continue to optimize and deepen the energy of local communities. From the perspective of reading micro-landscapes, it works with local partners to sort out more detailed life landscape stories and highlights of community human ecology. Following the enthusiastic response to the first group of ecological and geological mini-tours-fishing village walks in Nanya and Bitou in April, it is now launching the [River and Sea ․ Gonghao] walking, experience and exploration. The first stop is the Fulong Dongxing Palace Scenic Spot, where you can see the settlements formed along the Du River, which have shaped various interesting living landscape units. This bay in front of you, located between Bitou Cape and Sandiao Cape, has unique cape geology and topography, rich and diverse ecological and cultural landscapes of the mountains and seas, and historical traces. These are all unique customs and practices worth savoring in the northeast corner. Longmen Community is a settlement surrounded by mountains and sea, with magnificent river and sea landscapes. It faces the Pacific Ocean in front and is surrounded by Shuangxi River in the back. It is the settlement of the Pingpu people and a must-go place for the development of Yilan. Follow Wu Hanen from [Shulv Cultural Studio] into Longmen Old Community and get to know this small settlement between the mountains and the sea. Starting from the community’s religious center, "Zhaohui Temple", we walked into the winding and undulating alleys, passed by the Wu family mansion and the century-old well, and saw that the early residents used local materials to build the distinctive "sand house" with river sand and stones. The old community is full of stories and traces of the lives of our ancestors, just like flipping through the history of the old settlement. Wu Hanen from Shulv Culture Studio introduced the development history of Longmen settlement at Zhaohui Temple Wu Hanen from Shulv Culture Studio shared the unique sand-built houses in Longmen settlement Gongliao was formerly known as "Gangziliao". "Gangzi" is the word for "trap" in the Basai language. "Gangziliao" means a hunting lodge. The wild boar pattern on the signboard at the entrance of the old street echoes this past. Gongliao was once an important stronghold on the northern line of the "Taman Lang Trail". The daily life of residents was on this short 200-meter old street. In the past, farmers mainly farmed, and their sideline was to weave bamboo baskets, bamboo baskets, etc. for fishermen. The tour guide Huang Chunyu led us to see the century-old laundry behind the old street, which is still in use today. The water source comes from the small settlement of Jilin along the Fangjiao River to the Shuangxi River Basin. The water quality is clear and clean; "Lihehe Small Barn" is a hidden surprise here. This is the physical store of the [Hehe Production Class] that has been involved in the conservation of Gongliao water terraces for more than 10 years. While tasting homemade purple rice tea, listen to the story of how the Hehe settlement protects the local culture and ecology through rice planting, calling many creatures back to the wetlands. Although most of the young population has moved out due to social changes, everyone strolls leisurely in the old street to feel its simple and unpretentious tranquility, which is a unique experience. The abalone breeding space here is a living landscape unit, which includes geology, topography, climate, ecology, industry, and many aspects of life. A living space where these elements are mutually inclusive is exactly what sustainable development is pursuing. Therefore, the breeding concept is based on environmental sustainability and the goal is to minimize energy consumption. The [Fresh Food Store] does not use drugs during the breeding process and provides various ecological experiences. Among them, the abalone seaweed feeding experience and the roasted abalone DIY, fresh white shrimp and abalone are the most popular.
