Bitoujiao Tingtao Camp used to be a Marine Corps base. Due to changes in the environment, the camp lay idle for nearly 20 years after the last sentry was withdrawn. In order to effectively utilize tourism resources, the Northeast Coast Headquarters appropriated and renovated the original buildings to preserve their military style. In addition to the black, green, brown, earth and other colors, “pink” camouflage has also been added to represent the power of softness and strength, and serves as a symbol of passion, romance and love.
Tingtao Camp is located on the valley ridgeline of Bitoujiao Trail. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the beginning of the trail next to Bitou Elementary School. Along the way, visitors can enjoy the magnificent mountain, bay and cape, fantastic sea erosion terrain, and the colorful flowers of various beach plants. The trail is suitable for all ages. If visitors have the opportunity to plan a short trip to Bitoujiao, the camouflage cafe in the valley is the one spot you will not want to miss.
