The Tiangong Temple of Dali is also known as Qingyun Temple. Located in a fishery village by a coastal highway of Yilan County, it worships Emperor Jade (God of the Sky) from Zhangzhou, China. Since ancient times, it has testified Yilan’s cultural and historical developments on Lanyang Plain. Today, as a major religious center in town, it receives many believers daily. The century-old temple is refined and magnificent at once, leaning against lush green Caoling Mountain and facing the vast blue Pacific Ocean. Visitors can appreciate Guishan Island on the sea afar from here. The temple’s surroundings are graceful and its scenery is truly unique. Thus, many visitors come here to immerse in such beauty. At the temple plaza, temple goers and travelers can easily find local food such as whitebait porridge, round scad, and seaweed jelly, which are not to be missed.
