In response to the 2019 World Earth Day, the Administration and a number of public agencies jointly held beach-cleaning, tree-growing, natural-dye, and tax advocacy events on April 21. In just 90 minutes, 11.3 tons of man-made garbage was collected.

The events aimed to raise people’s awareness of the severity of harm done by throwing of garbage to the ocean ecology. By growing and protecting trees, the Administration also hoped to help people learn how important it is to conserve forests. At the natural tea-leaf dye session, the Administration demonstrated how to turn unwanted tea-tree leafs and twigs, as well as expired old tea leafs into natural dye - a way to contribute to environmental protection in daily life.

The Administration director called for all to care for our environs and make Earth clean, healthy and sustaining.
