MEMO No food or beverages stalls may be found along the trail. If you wish to picnic, bring your own food and drinks. Most hikers would start their journey from Fulong or Gongliao in the north, pass the Yuanwangkeng (valley), take the Historic Trail, and finally reach the mountain top. You can take a train and get off at Fulong or Gongliao and then take the Caoling Historic Trail near the Xinshe Bridge in Yuanwangkeng. You can take a train in Dali on your way back.

By train: Take a train of the North-Link Line to Luodong. From the back of the train station, take Capital Bus No. 241. In about 20 minutes you’ll reach the Dongshan River Water Park.
