Fish are an important natural resource within Yilan County. In the recent years, with the rising popularity of boat fishing and whale watching, fishing harbors along the coastline have gradually increased their tourist attractions, becoming places where tourists can shop for fresh fish while on their trips. With its bustling fish auctions and dazzling harbor views, the Daxi Fishery Harbor is one of these places. Usually after 3 PM, visitors will begin seeing fishing boats coming in and crowds building up. In addition, Honeymoon Bay, located in the same area, is one of the best places to take a romantic walk in the sand while watching the ocean.
